Explore Puerto Rico: Photo Essay |

The offlying island of Culebra's most famous beach is Playa
Flamenco, a long stretch of beautiful sand which has only one hotel along
its shores. Two wrecked tanks serve as reminders of the military occupation,
as do a hilltop observation post and a set of stone piers on the E end.
The calmest areas are to the L, and it's rather like being in a gargantuan
shallow saltwater swimming pool.
